Despite Ron Paul’s Landslide Victory In The Nevada Straw Poll, The Old Media Continues To Ignore Him

Ron Paul won the GOP presidential straw poll conducted by organizers at the Conservative Leadership Conference held at the Nugget Casino this weekend “by a large margin,” according to an organizer.

Paul won with 33 percent, Romney came in second with 16 percent and Duncan Hunter was just behind with 15 percent. “Undecided” was fourth with 11 percent, and Thompson and Giuliani were next and ahead of the rest of the pack — all in single digits. Raw numbers haven’t been provided, but there were approximately 430 registrants at the opening of the conference.

Despite this huge victory, the Main Stream Media (The Old Media) continues to ignore Ron Paul. Nothing on CNN, no mention on Fox News, nothing on Drudge…but if you’re a Dr. Paul faithful like myself, this is just more of the same. The one media outlet that picked up the story, MSNBC.com, had the headline ‘ROMNEY LOSES NV STRAW POLL , mentions Ron Paul twice, then goes on to talk all about the lovable loser, Romney. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say the article was written by the Romney campaign and not a so called unbiased media outlet.

Sir,

I read your explanation for taking down the Ron Paul poll and I must say I was taken aback. First, let me say that the opinions expressed here are my own and I speak for no one else. That said, I’d like to say thank you for your backhanded compliment “You guys are good. Real good.” I say it’s backhanded because of the implications it leaves unsaid. When you follow it up with the accusation that the poll was hacked, it implies that the “Ron Paul faithful,” as you call them, have done something wrong. Hacking is a practice where someone breaks into a website’s server or even a personal computer and changes programming code or steals data, usually for nefarious purposes.
